Entrevistado pelo actor e cineasta Jon Favreau para a revista, Idris Elba reflecte sobre a sua carreira na televisão, sobretudo o seu trabalho em The Wire. Elba explica: "Television is where I cut my teeth. One of my first jobs was in a soap opera, five days a week. And what I found is, although there are different directors coming in and different crews, you just lived in your character. It’s the nature of the story, the ongoing story, and it can get deeper and deeper."

A Wired chega a 2016 com Leonardo DiCaprio na capa de Janeiro  - a edição Survival. O actor de 41 anos fala na entrevista sobre os três momentos em que esteve muito perto da morte. Numa situação teve um encontro inesperado com um tubarão na África do Sul. A estrela de The Revenant explica: “A great white jumped into my cage when I was diving in South Africa. Half its body was in the cage, and it was snapping at me. They leave the tops open and you have a regulator line running to the surface. Then they chum the water with tuna.”

DiCaprio continua: “A wave came and the tuna sort of flipped up into the air. A shark jumped up and grabbed the tuna, and half its body landed inside the cage with me. I sort of fell down to the bottom and tried to lie flat. The great white took about five or six snaps an arm’s length away from my head. The guys there said that has never happened in the 30 years they’d been doing it."

Cary Fukunaga | Interview Magazine. Dezembro 2015

O realizador Cary Fukunaga está em destaque na última edição da Interview. O registo fotográfico coube ao fotografo de Moda Sebastian Kim. O entrevistador foi o também realizador Michael Moore, e a conversa começou com o despertar do interesse em fazer filmes e sobre o assunto Fukunaga diz: “I started writing stories when I was 9 or 10. I wrote my first screenplay-type document when I was 14, about these two brothers in the Civil War. I tried to make movies with my friends, but it was impossible because no one cared as much as I did. And I sort of went away from it for a while in high school and college, when I was pursuing sports and school and, I guess, girls.”

Sobre a transição do snowboarding para a realização parece ter sido "obra do destino". Cary recorda: “And sometime around 20, 21 years old, I was in France and had blown out my knee. I couldn’t compete for a couple of months, and I didn’t want to just sit around doing nothing, so I got back into theater actually. I did a play in France, and I started writing again. I think that’s probably when it really started—going into my senior year of college and deciding that I wanted to make movies.”

As expectativas para The Big Short são muitas. Tantas que a The Hollywood Reporter convidou Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling e Steve Carell, o realizador Adam McKay e o autor Michael Lewis. As fotografias são de Miller Mobley. 

Sobre o facto de ter pessoas e uma história real como inspiração e fonte, Bale disse: “Michael [Burry] came to visit the set a number of times. And he’s a fascinating individual. We just talked for, it was like eight or nine hours straight. I became very fond of him. I love playing real characters because you create a mannerism, and the director might question that, but you’ve got the evidence. You can just call him over and chat with him for a little bit and go, ‘See, right?"

As estrelas de The Big Short - Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale e Steve Carell uniram-se nas capas da última edição da New York magazine em fotografias de Amanda Demme.

Sobre a sua presença no filme Gosling disse: “It was really just powered by the wig. It was a hair­-fueled performance. It’s really like a Samson kind of a story. It took about a half-­hour to put on every morning. It was kind of a nice way to start the day. I have never really worked much in that way, you know, in terms of, like…altering my appearance.”

Depois da versão feminina, a The Hollywood Reporter juntou à mesa (redonda) os actores Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo, Joel Edgerton, Benicio Del Toro e Will Smith.

As estrelas partilharam experiências e conversaram sobre as carreiras. Jackson, por exemplo, falou sobre as criticas negativas que muitas vezes são associadas a Quentin Tarantino e explicou: “People say a lot of things about Quentin–that he’s racist, he’s this, he’s that. But every character that he has ever written for me has been a very intelligent, very driven person.”

Já Edgerton desabafou sobre a sua entrada no mundo do entretenimento: “I felt this debt to my father to make out like I was going to do something responsible with my life.” E continuou, “I was terrified to tell him that what I really wanted to do was either paint pictures or become an actor. And he found out, and he said, ‘You should follow your dreams, and money and all that other stuff, it comes as a byproduct."

Para promover a reunião profissional com a mulher - Angelina Jolie - em By the Sea, Brad Pitt está na capa da edição Inverno 2015 da V magazine. Com uma aparência "muito Robert Redford", Pitt foi fotografado por Inez & Vinoodh com styling de David Vandewal. Sobre o acto de ter Jolie como realizadora, Pitt diz: “It’s surprising how much I enjoy the direction of my wife. She’s decisive, incredibly intuitive, and might I say sexy at her post. I trust her with my life.”

E sobre o filme, acrescenta: "It was probably not the wisest way to spend a honeymoon. But then again, fighting to make something together…what better metaphor for marriage?
